We spent two weeks at ClubMed Punta Cana in April and had an incredible stay. Though we expected some disruption due to the reconstruction works, the impact was minimal, and it didn’t affect our holiday at all.
The resort is impressively well-run under Chef de Village Abdel (with Romain doing a great job in his absence). From housekeeping to entertainment, everything ran smoothly and the staff was consistently warm and welcoming. Special mention to Virginie, the Head Chef—every meal was a treat, as well as at the à la carte restaurant we tried for my birthday.
The Mini Club team — Banana, Vero, Ralph, and Davidson—were outstanding, creating a fun and connected environment for the kids. Our children were eager to keep playing with their new friends even outside club hours.
We always look for good sports facilities, and the tennis team (Ramon and Alvaro) didn’t disappoint. While private lessons were pricey (1.5-2x London prices), the setup and vibe were excellent. Fitness classes were another highlight—Melanie, Cynthia, Ricardo, and especially James made every session enjoyable. We appreciated the diverse team of GOs from around the world, all bringing great energy to the resort.
Entertainment was top-notch, with professional dancers and a great events calendar. Youyou stood out for his charisma, presence, and leadership—he’s a star in the making!
As Platinum guests, we finally saw real value in the loyalty programme here—thanks to Manon and William, who were attentive and helpful. The new facilities like the adult Zen area and the water park were fantastic upgrades since our last visit in 2015.
We loved the photo package offering—while not cheap, it’s a great way to capture memories and worth it for a longer stay.
There’s room for improvement in the gym (equipment updates and better maintenance), and we’d love to see more variety in the fitness class schedule and better space planning as they rebuild.
Overall, ClubMed Punta Cana remains our favourite Easter destination. We’re already planning our return next year!
