Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar
Just over 5km by boat from your Club Med Seychelles Resort, reach Victoria, the capital of the archipelago, on the island of Mahé, to discover one of its most emblematic monuments. The Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar temple is the only Hindu building in the Seychelles. Built in 1992, it looks like a UFO with its architecture inspired by the temples of southern India. If the interior sanctuary allows to discover a beautiful statue of the god Vinayaka, also known under the name of Ganesh, its external aspect already impresses with its many statues and its bright blue, yellow, red dyes, underlined with golden borders.
Victoria fish market
In the heart of the old town of Victoria, 5km from your Club Med Seychelles Resort, the market has been an institution since 1840. All the flavors, colors and smells mingle: spices, fruits, vegetables, regional crafts: the best of the archipelago is united. But it is the fish market that offers the most typical and noisiest souvenir of the Seychelles! Under the envious eyes of the sea egrets, the fruits of the ocean spread out: silver mackerel, tuna, captains, shoemakers, all caught of the day, to haggle over before tasting.
