They are hospitable, their activities are wonderful, they are constantly innovating and actively improved. Yanqing Resort has mountains, trees, vineyards, wineries, golf courses, and hot springs. Whether it is outdoor cycling in spring, water splashing battles in summer, picking in autumn, or a skiing experience in winter, it can leave unforgettable memories.

We stayed here on a golfing weekend (course is excellent and a 5-10 minute buggy drive away, though it is not owned by the hotel) and overall had a very enjoyable experience.

On arrival there was a lively 'welcoming' squad with costume characters which was a nice touch and the staff were the friendliest and most enthusiastic, the most customer service focused I've encountered by quite some way in over a decade in China.

The kids entertainment staff were especially great and went above and beyond in making sure kids had a great time.

The location is very nice though quite isolated. You can take a five minute taxi to local restaurants if you wish, as you might imagine the food and beverage onsite is very expensive which leads to the only real negative.

At the end of the day this resort is aimed at high income families so it is what it is, and the room price of around $200 a night seem a good deal at first, however the basic room price does not allow you to use any of the facilities or join in any activities. Even the swimming pool isn't included in the room price. The hotel worked very much on the model of forcing people to upgrade to all inclusive which for a family of four worked out at an extra $350. This does include the evening buffet and bar drinks but still pretty steep. For children to do activities outside of the all inclusive was about $25 per activity, so $100 for a family just to go swimming. Ouch.

The rooms and hotel in general were clean and in good condition but at these sort of prices they really need upgrading.

It was a great stay overall but is not really worth the visit unless you are paying the extra for all inclusive.

We have had a fantastic trip with again the GOs looking after us and giving the kids an amazing experience. The addition of the BMX biking and Paddle boarding was great and really good value. Again the trapeze was a great hit and my daughter went every day and was made to feel special. Massive thank you to Cheryl, Claudia and Jasmine who all went over and above. Jasmine actually picked us up when stranded in the rain!

First time staying at a ClubMed. We arrived at 3PM and it was horrible to wait for longer than an hour, even though we had a reservation and other people checking in and out however after the check in was over everything started getting better. This hotel is kind of new and the facilities are kept cleaned and organized. Their pools are big and a lot of indoor/ outdoor activities for children/adults. We got a Mountain View and it was beautiful at night and during the day. The staff are friendly and most of them speak English. Our room was done everyday. The food is good, all you can eat, most of them are the same choices with a few variations.
