Beth in Gregolimano

Arriving at Club Med Gregolimano by boat with the sea sparkling, the pine groves casting warm shadows across the beach and the tall mountains standing proud is a really special moment! The resort feels like a bit of a private oasis; a place to truly switch off and pretend the rest of the world doesn’t exist. I’d definitely recommend it to those who are inspired by beautiful views and want to soak up the chance to rest and also enjoy the widely available activities.

Most days, we enjoyed a peaceful, slower start to the morning! I was making the most of being on holiday without my children, so I was very grateful for the extra sleep. We loved that The Olea restaurant served brunch, so we often started our day with a coffee on our balcony overlooking the beach, before heading for avocado on toast or pancakes. Afterwards, the hardest decision was whether to relax by the beach or pool! We would often enjoy the Zen pool in the morning when the sun was high, and then move to the beach for sundowners, swimming and the most beautiful sunsets. Later, we would freshen up and head to The Pleiades for dinner - we really enjoyed the different themes at the buffet; our favourite was the Asian night or the French style steak frites!

We stayed in the main hotel building and enjoyed a really beautiful vantage of the sea and mountains from our balcony. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the housekeeping always did such a good job. Next time, I would visit one of the newly renovated rooms nestled in the pine forest as I love the renovated interiors!

We mostly ate at Les Pleiades - the view was so beautiful and we really enjoyed making the most of sitting outside. Our favourite meal was always dinner time and we liked that there was something new every night, so we were able to try lots of different things. The Greek salad table was a firm staple though! Our favourite bar was the Beach Bar with its tiki style roofing and rattan seating. The bartender made us our own spicy cocktail - I have no idea what was in it but it made a great sundowner!

My favourite moments were relaxing by the Zen pool - it has the most beautiful backdrop, I don’t think you can beat the drama of the mountains! We were also really lucky to enjoy a massage at the Spa by Sothys, which was really good. I also loved watching the sunset on the beach and taking a yoga class one morning on the deck after breakfast, which was really special.
